Sanna's Bag

“I never seem to have what I need when I need it. I’m going to make a belt-bag that’s bigger on the inside than on the outside, and just carry everything with me.”

Arriving in the mail

Nancy was wondering what she was going to do with the pink socks she was knitting.  Silly girl!  I'll always take a pair of pink socks off your hands.  I sent her a puppet to share with the youngsters in her life.  I love knitters! We are such clever and generous people!

And yesterday was a day when I was especially grateful for kindness.

Poor old Fly has been sick for quite a while.  He lost ten pounds over the past two years.  His kidneys failed. Yesterday, I took him to the vet and gave him smooth passage.  It's always hard to say goodbye to a kitty, but loving them is always worth it.  I buried him in the backyard next to a rose bush he favored for his peemail.

Tonight, Ben is curled on Kyle's lap, and Pepper is on mine.  We all comfort one another.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear kitty. It's such a hard thing to go through. It's interesting how the other furry family members seem to feel the loss and stay close during times like this. Yes...the arrival of the socks seems perfect. They sure are pretty. Take care. Hugs!

Good bye Fly. Look for Calvin and Hobbes and Kubla while you're up there chasing dust bunnies. I think you'd all get along very well.

Hugs to you Roxie (and Kyle). It's funny how much space a small pet leaves behind.

I am so sorry about Fly. I know he has been an important part of your family. Give the other kitties a little extra hug from me, too, please.

Always hard. The vets do this so much more kindly (both to us and to the animals) than they used to. And Fly had a good life and a triumphant farewell tour. It's hard to imagine we now have more cats than you do - twice as many. Loving thoughts to you.

I am sorry to hear about Fly. He was such a sweetie and always enjoyed my visits. He loved being brushed and sitting on my lap. He had a wonderful life with loving parents. I always stay with my pets when I must witness their passing as I want them to be in my loving arms.
I have said goodbye to probably around 30 and it is never easy. But the sorrow is worth all the love they bring into your life.

Poor old Fly. He was a lucky kitty to live with such devoted and loving servants. It's so hard when our little family members pass on because telling them how much we love them isn't ever possible. I truly believe you will see him again.
