Sanna's Bag

another question

I have a small jar of Vegemite to share with the knitters on Sat the 10th, and I was wondering what would be the perfect vehicle for it? Saltines? White bread? Celery sticks? What's your favorite vehicle for Vegemite?

Speaking of things Australian, Lulu and the Bah boys have gone to visit a high-school friend of mine who is going to show them around her school and introduce them to her friends. But I hear that a "Situation" has developed involving Lulu's affections. I know that Bobby wants to settle down with her on the herb farm in Estacada, and raise little lambiekins, but somehow, I don't see Lulu going that route. I await permissin to share photos.

Since I've never eaten Vegemite, I can't give you any suggestions.

I wish Bobby luck. And Lulu, too. It's tough when a guy won't take no for an answer.

Vegemite is best eaten as follows:

    1. on the freshest white bread (as a sandwich) with a thin spread of butter/margarine and a thinner spread of vegemite (don't layer it on like peanut butter!)

    2. on hot toast, again with butter/marg and a thin spread of vegemite

    3. with cheddar cheese in a toasted sandwich

Never with anything salty (as vegemite is a bit salty itself) or with celery or carrots or anything like that!! Because it's a spread, not a dip!! (heh, I am a bit passionate and thingy about the proper way to enjoy vegemite!)

    Hope you all enjoy!

I only know what Vegemite is, I've never had any. And my parents said Mtv was bad for me...

I'm in the non-Vegemite camp. I've heard of it, but that is all.

And what about Bucky's plans with Lulu?

I can't wait to see the pictures!

Agree with Rose Red - thin thin layer of Vegemite. Best on crackers or fresh bread with butter. It's also great in sandwiches with lettuce, or chopped walnuts.

That Lulu ... always causing problems!
