Sanna's Bag

“I never seem to have what I need when I need it. I’m going to make a belt-bag that’s bigger on the inside than on the outside, and just carry everything with me.”

that's what she said

So we're in the grocery store yesterday and the dear young checker asks, "Ooooo - how did you hurt yourself?"

I replied, "Took the half-pipe on a skateboard."

"Really?"  her eyes were wide.

I gramaced. "I used to be good at that stuff."

She patted my hand and said with full approval, "Well at least you didn't break it doing something dumb."

Straight face, and leave them wondering!! Hahaha, I'll use the half-pipe answer next time, if you use the knife fight line. We'll see how it goes.

    ((hug))

HA! That's a hoot! I guess it's all about perspective, isn't it? Still, you really impressed that young lady and I'm sure she told all her friends about you later. And it sure beats saying "I fell off my porch."

I think this youngin' epitomizes cluelessness.

Sorry, that sounded mean. What if I add, "Bless her heart!" afterwards in true southern tradition? Is that nicer? After all, she wasn't being unkind.

Just imagine what she'd have said if you'd taken a full pipe on a skateboard! lol Alice Lynn

What a sweet young thing. Although, those original skateboarders are all getting older and will be telling the young folks how they had spectacular jumps so it's not too far fetched for you to be a 'boarder.

When I hurt my ankle, I told people I was kicking someone's ass...
