blogging in haste

Last night was our first formal night. Pictures can not do justice to the woman wearing an entire square acre of magenta sequins or the petite woman with satiny blue-black skin in the vermillin ball gown, or the darling dumpling twenty-somethings in their little gownless evening straps. There were sisters - five and sevenish, in matching pink dresses with fifty yard twirly hems and roses in their blonde curls. There was a young man in a good dark susit with a grey striped formal ballcap worn backwards. He was not allowed in the dining room till he took the hat off. Gotta go wake the boy.
