Today is the second Saturday of the month, and though I will not be hosting, MJ very kindly allowed me to do the baking, because I love it so much. So I was baking all day Friday until I ran out of sugar. I thought I had a ten pound bag in the pantry, but I was wrong. So I put on my walking shoes and my knapsack, walked half a mile to the store, bought ten pounds of sugar, and carried it home. Then I continued to bake. I probably burned off 30 % of the bites, licks and tastes I enjoyed.
Two dozen chocolate cupcakes with cherry pie filling. Twelve dozen peanut butter cookies, Three dozen sugar cookies with passion fruit frosting, and five dozen sugar cookies with bacon frosting. On Tuesday, I will take two dozen sugar cookies with bacon frosting to the county fair. Wish me luck!

And I congratulate myself if I make muffins.
ReplyDeleteBacon frosting?? What does it taste like? (I know: bacon) Is it sweet?
You will indeed win at that county fair.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's an amazing amount of goodies. You have an incredible amount of energy.
ReplyDeleteIf the judges appreciate bacon, you are a blue ribbon winner!
ReplyDeleteYummy looking baked goods.
Chocolate cupcake with cherry pie filling!!!! YUMMMMMM!!! Would have rather had that than the birthday cake I had today. But had fun with Brogan and family.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get bacon syrup???
Quite the pile of cookies there.
ReplyDeleteYou're making me crazed with sugar lust! What am I to do with my bland diet demanding I don't over-indulge in sweets?
ReplyDeleteI have been telling the world about your bacon flavored frosting-- no one believes me, but I think it would be nom!
