hooray, hooray, a sunny day!

By the way, Kate, the connection between white shoes and Memorial Day? One of the "laws" of fashion is that you may wear white shoes only between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

  1. That's right, it's a fashion LAW. But, then again, it's also a fashion law here on the right coast about not wearing socks and sandals. Unless they are hand knit socks.
And my little Ben has turned into such a handsome mancat.

  2. I was just going to ask who that handsome kitty was when I read Dave's comment. Ben is beautiful in his basket ( I love illiteration).

  3. I remember that LAW. I still have a hard time breaking it. Even though most people on the left coast ignore it.

  4. Arizona people definitely ignore that rule. It's hot so much of the year, white is good any time!

Since White makes everything on my body look big, that color is on my drat-it list. White is over-rated. Gimme color. Even you kitties wear color.

  8. Yes, Arizonans definitely ignore that law. But the old laws still knock around in the back of my brain and keep reminding me that I am breaking them. Old training dies hard, I guess.

  9. I have a hard time wearing white before Memorial Day. I can do it but it feels funny all day. And then after Labor Day in Sept. I put all the white away even though the temps stay high until october. Strict observance of this as a kid has had an effect!

  10. Thanmks for jogging my memory , everyone! Mind you, I don't know if I've ever owned a pair white shoes that weren't sneakers. Maybe in my dim, dark, distant toddlerhood. I note that Ben is wearing white all year round.

Having said all that, I still cringe when I discover I've put on black stockings with navy pants. *shudder*. Pathetic, I know but it makes my teeth hurt.
