But the shape and appearance of the vessel will dictate, to an extent, what goes into it."<br /><br />I like that. It's so true that even when we tell a story, it has difference meaning to different people, depending on their experiences. And we can reverse this logic to help us write. I've never had the person I loved most in the world nearly die in a car wreck, but I can draw on my own grief and fear from other experiences to craft a realistic reaction from my character when it happens to him.
