Icey came with her name from the pet store where she had been living. Nothing very creative or exciting but we love them.Galadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09246042661575565455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29452093.post-23608095880036801932011-01-17T06:58:35.499-08:002011-01-17T06:58:35.499-08:00Chiquita the dog? Gordie, Chicken's cat?

Well, we went to the pet store to get a three-legged 'Squirrel' cat, that we had seen, but she was gone. We wanted an older cat (we thought) because this cat had to survive where there were kids, but while I was telling the lady that, this little six-week old rescue (he was three weeks old when he was abandoned in the parking lot) toddled up to me and started suckling on my fingers. I picked him up and put him on Chicken's shoulders and Chicken melted. She was having a really shitty time in middle school then, so I said, "This is your cat. His tag says his name is 'Henry'." She took him home, set him up in a bed with his food, water, and catbox in HER ROOM and then lived with him for six weeks without letting him out of her room. By the time he came out, he was Commissioner Gordon from Batman and Gordon Lightfoot O'Henry from my brain, and Gordie to everyone else!Amy Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04885706951931450373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29452093.post-1715419575753252782011-01-17T01:10:46.177-08:002011-01-17T01:10:46.177-08:00Isn't 9 pm a bit late for you to be awakening?...Isn't 9 pm a bit late for you to be awakening????? LOL
My Patches got her name cuz she is a calico and made me think of a patchwork quilt of fur. Kala means black in some odd language that I have forgotten since. Mooshoo was named by my sons girlfriend at the time of our inheriting her from said girl. Chinese food figured in to picking that name. I once had a cat named Misty who could disappear quick like a mist! A previous cat we had my husband had named Jigaboo, which I shortened to Boo as was afriad to go around calling for "Jigaboo, where are you?"Rose Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07180873324576064516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29452093.post-16020740186057375402011-01-16T23:00:11.902-08:002011-01-16T23:00:11.902-08:00Sabrina showed up on Halloween. My cat Dusty got his name because the moment her emerged from the cat carrier moments after being rescued, he was covered in construction dust. I said to the rescue woman, "Wow, he's all dusty. That's a nice name for a cat." And it stuck. Miss Lulu? She was loopy from the moment I met her. Lulu, as in loopy. I added the Miss to make it more sophisticated.
I've always adored the name Ben, and your little Ben captured my heart the day I first saw him.Davenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29452093.post-82441557452115726092011-01-16T15:31:40.070-08:002011-01-16T15:31:40.070-08:00Hurray for you--just like you, loving to rescue pe...Hurray for you--just like you, loving to rescue people and pets!

How did our kitty get her name? MamaMia named her after her bead/necklace company--Angel Beads. Do you remember? So our kitty was Angel and she truly was--always a gentle princess and so loving. We still miss her.

Virtual room cleaning, part 2-- that table seems like it's solid and stable, just like you, your marriage. That's a good thing. It may have nicks and scratches and stains, but don't we all? We're still standing strong, though.Willowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02912030095491960175noreply@blogger.com
