It hasn't been really cold yet, so the leaves are not turning with the brilliance you could expect in New England, but still we are getting a nice dose of color
We finished off with a cup of tea at a coffee house just a few blocks away. What a delight it is to have the time free to take advantage of a good moment for a walk, to have friends to walk with, and to have the spring left in my knees to walk at all. Retirement is wonderful!
Wow...the red on that tree is spectacular. Sure looks like a beautiful day for a walk.
ReplyDeleteI love the sudden splash of color here and there.
ReplyDeleteThe sun didn't show up here until the afternoon. I blinked like a bat and had to run outside to create a little Vitamin D.
ReplyDeleteYou make retirement sound wonderful. We don't have much full-on color yet either. It's just flashes here and there. I like it because it's a bright surprise.
ReplyDeleteOur trees started turning a week - maybe two - ago. Yesterday's wind storm knocked off most of the leaves.
ReplyDeleteYour tree color is much prettier than ours this year. Because of the extreme drought we had this summer, all of our colors are in the gold, yellow and brown range. I love that brilliant reddish-orange of your tree. Maybe next year will get some good colors.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your fall color from brown Arizona :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd you managed to capture that amazing October blue...
